As the scientific hub of Conservation International, CABS produces a vast amount of important research every year. CABS publishes its research in a variety of forms for a variety of readers, ranging from the casual observer to the committed student or researchers. CABS’ Scientific Publishing and Information Resources Unit strives to provide all CABS publications in full online for the use of the conservation community.
Brochures
CABS brochures provide an overview of the Center’s programs, policies, initiatives, and partnerships in straightforward, non-technical language. CABS brochures are a good starting point for viewers unfamiliar with the technical jargon of biodiversity science.
CD-ROMs
CABS makes many planning tools, such as images, maps, and taxonomic tables, available on interactive CDs. CABS CDs are useful for students and researchers looking for in-depth regional or species data.
Field Guides
CABS field guides are an ideal starting-point for field research. They provide a myriad of information useful for researchers, such as species distribution, natural history, and conservation status of species and regions.
Maps
CABS maps delineate sensitive biodiversity hotspots, species’ habitats, weather patterns and other geographic facets of conservation.
Peer Reviewed Publications
The main emphasis of CABS scientific productivity is on the publication of papers in peer-reviewed literature. CABS authors' extensive publication in such literature has placed CI as the fifth most-cited institution worldwide in the "Ecology and Environment" category of the Web of Science.
Periodicals
CABS publishes a number of periodicals focused on a variety of topics. CABS periodicals include periodicals reporting on specific policy issues, biodiversity hotspots, or the status of specific species.
Staff Bibliography
The CABS staff bibliography is a comprehensive list of publications authored by CABS researchers since 1999. It contains complete citations for all books, chapters, articles, and monographs, and includes links to full text wherever available.
