The maroon fronted parrot (Rhynchopsitta terrisi) is a vulnerable species that is one of the most important endemic flagships for the Madrean Pine-Oak Woodlands. This flock was photographed in the El Taray Sanctuary in the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountains.
